The best hunt ever

We went toward some places I had seen on previous trips, and I have the photos from that, but the fourth place we went to was Totally Awesome and I don't have those ready yet because I had a photo shoot this most recent Saturday. I had two models in an abandoned building and it was GREAT! So I have been editing those photos since Saturday. If you happen to be reading this and your interested in being a model it's a pretty simple plan I run. No charge to you if you pose for me and don't mind being in abandoned buildings. Then I let you have low res copies for your pages on the Internet, and if you want to prints, you can purchase those from me as well.

Here are the shots from 3/20/10:

Stage two

Here is the rest of the story. When I left off I had gave you the photos from the first and second floors of the abanonded factory. Here are the rest of them, although I didn't count the remaining floors.

The higher we got, the more nervous I got. This building has been partly torn down for reasons unknown, and through out the buildings there are holes cut in the floor and tons of dangerous stuff, I must admit that I was afraid of the stairs not being able to hold us as we climbed higher.

This was the top. The roof of the building! We didn't go any further than this because of the snow and my gigantic fear of heights--oh and it probably wasn't very safe up there either.

Here we found the old office areas. We didn't go down any further because it was too dark, and I admitted to being scared of the dark.
This scale was the last thing in this building I photographed. Why? Because there one was one single light on. The building is supposed to be dead, no power! We found the first door out and that was the end.

We trudged on over to through the silos and into the loading building-or that's what I thought it was, and these are the last photos of the trip

This is not the end of the abandonment series, I will fill you in on last weekends adventure, and then follow up with the up coming outing, and I hope it will certainly be an exciting one!

On tour......

Well after months of working with a broken blog editior, I finally got it right. No big deal for you but for me it's a lot nicer to see what it is I am doing!

If you were waiting to hear about my story about the abandoned factory, your wait is over.  And if you live in Hillsdale you most likely know what I am talking about. Yes, the old stock mill buildings. If you haven't been in it, I am going to share some photos with you so you can see what's there. Mar and I went all the way to the roof, we didn't go into any of the silo buildings because it was really dark and I am scared of the dark, I'll admit it.

We didn't go down there, it's really dark on the other side of the building, yes we did have flash lights, but I am not game for encountering things in the dark. It was thrilling enough with out being in the dark.

No you may have noticed that some of the photos have not been edited, I wanted to give my viewers an idea of the whole way through the buildings.

This of course this isn't all the photos, this is only the first and second floor, there are many more to come so keep watching.

Here is what went down

Two weekends ago, Mar, myself and my sidekick Jaden went off on an abandoned house hunt. Although it wasn't necessarily a hunt since I knew where I wanted to go, it was still loads of fun! The first house we stopped at was totally boarded and locked up! We could not get in at all and believe me we tried! If there is one thing that Mar is good at, it's finding a way into something she is not supposed be in! This is the house that I would have wanted to go into too. We looked through the windows that were still there and this house had old wall paper peeling and old furniture, dusty of course, but old. It had old door mouldings and brass knobs. The thing that really caught my eye was the old heater next to the front window! Man did I want to get into this one. Unfortunately we couldn't get it I took a couple of shots outside and we moved on to the next location.

This window was open, kinda, but there was no way to get up there, but Mar and Jaden were willing to try.

We moved on down the road to the next house.  The back door was wide open and so was the basement.

Well of course we went in, not down stairs though--too dark! The house smells like a barn. The floor seems stable enough to walk on. Here is what we see:

I am going to end it here because the third house we visited that day is where I found my most favorite shot to this point shot! I love the shot so much I have already done 3 different versions of it! Stay tuned until later!
